FAMOUS Hong Kong entertainer appears in nude

A FAMOUS Hong Kong entertainer who appears in nude photos that were leaked on the Internet lashed out at movie star Edison Chen, who shot the pictures, for failing to protect the women in the images.

It was the first time actress Cecilia Cheung has spoken out since the photos Chen took of her and seven other local stars performing sex acts with him were widely circulated last year, setting off a scandal that shocked the Chinese-speaking community.

Chen testified on Monday against a Hong Kong computer technician charged with stealing the photos from the actor's laptop. The 28-year-old, whose credits include Infernal Affairs and The Grudge 2, apologised for the photos and has since stayed out of the public eye.

Last week Chen said he hoped everyone who suffered as result of the scandal would recover emotionally and insisted that their well-being was more important than his.

'I've always said the scandal is my fault. ... If lashing out at me will ease her pain, I'm willing to shoulder more,' he wrote in a statement on Friday, referring to Cheung.

An emotional Cheung said in an interview with Hong Kong's i-CABLE Entertainment News Channel aired late on Friday that Chen failed to prevent the pictures from being circulated and never apologised to her personally.

'If you're sincere about taking responsibility for your mistakes, at the very least you should call us personally to say sorry,' she said.

'How dare you say you protected us and hope we will recover?' said Cheung - whose acting credits include The Promise and One Nite in Mongkok - noting that the photos were still online. -- AP

Playboy want naked Winslet

IF an Oscar, two Golden Globes and a Bafta aren’t enough for KATE WINSLET – she’s now been bestowed with another honour.

HUGH HEFNER has offered the British actress a spot on the cover of Playboy with a nude spread inside.

If Kate takes Hugh up on his offer she would follow in the footsteps of MARILYN MONROE, SHARON STONE, PAMELA ANDERSON and fellow Oscar winner CHARLIZE THERON.

The 82-year-old Playboy boss told a newspaper: “There’s no question we would be interested in Kate.

“It’s a competitive market, more than it used to be, so she would be a most welcome addition in our pages.”

Kate has been filmed topless in many of her movies, including Academy Award victors The Reader and Titanic.

But she has vowed to never again appear naked on screen again, for fears of being typecast.

She said: “I don’t want to be known as that actress who gets her kit off.”

Duffy crowned queen of the Brits

Welsh singer Duffy has scored a Brit Awards hat-trick, picking up three prizes including the coveted statue for best British album.

The 24-year-old fought back tears as she accepted the award, saying it was the result of "five years' work".

Duffy was also named best British female and won the British breakthrough award at the ceremony in west London.

Elbow were named best British group, Girls Aloud won best British single and Paul Weller took best British male.

Accepting her British female award, Duffy said: "It's a real honour to be here. British female - I don't know what that means, but it's a good job my mum didn't have a boy."

I Kissed a Girl singer Katy Perry flew into the UK to pick up best international female despite being ill.

She said: "I'm so sick right now, but they said to show up to the Brits because something special might happen... Obviously I've worked pretty hard because I want to die now."

This year's stage had a music festival theme, with the stars performing under a giant Glastonbury-style pyramid, flanked by cows, a caravan and a tipi.

Irish rockers U2 opened the show with a performance of their new single, Get On Your Boots. A heavily made-up Bono told the crowd it was "good to be back".

Hosts James Corden and Matt Horne then appeared, dressed in red skirts and thigh length boots, as backing dancers as co-host Kylie Minogue sang Can't Get You Out Of My Head.

Veteran singer Paul Weller, who beat Will Young, Ian Brown, James Morrison and The Streets to win best British male, was not at the ceremony.

He accepted the award from singer Adele in a pre-taped video, saying: "I'm sorry, I can't be there tonight but thank you very much for this award."

US rockers Kings of Leon won two awards - best international group and best international album.

Dressed in suits, they collected the first from former Neighbours star Natalie Imbruglia, joking that "it was not just for our good looks - it was for our music as well".

The best British live act, chosen by listeners of BBC Radio 2, went to heavy metal legends Iron Maiden.

They were a no-show and thanked their fans in a video, standing in front of their huge skeleton mascot, Eddie.

Singer Bruce Dickinson said: "We couldn't keep this entire show on the road without our fans. They're the people that keep this band alive."

He added: "And I do hope that Eddie doesn't get too jealous."

Another absentee was Kanye West, who received the best international male award. He joked that he was taking his new title literally, claiming "in every nation I'm the best male".

He added: "That means if you go to a club, and you're a girl, and you're looking for a male, and you see me, you now have the best."

Best British group went to Elbow, who can add the Brit to the Mercury Prize they won for their album The Seldom Seen Kid last year.

Receiving the prize from David Hasselhoff, they paid a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the former Baywatch star.

Singer Guy Garvey joked: "You will not believe how long it has taken to get this close to the Hoff - but it's worth it."

Viewers voted throughout the show for the winner of best British single, which went to Girls Aloud for The Promise.

A clearly delighted Sarah Harding screamed: "Can I just say, it's about time."

The Pet Shop Boys received an outstanding contribution award and closed the show with a medley of greatest hits including Go West, West End Girls and Always On My Mind.

They were joined on stage by US chart-topper Lady GaGa and The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers.

Flowers, who presented the award, told how he was one of the group's greatest fans and once chose Pet Shop Boys over The Smiths when he only had enough cash for one album.

Former Suede star Bernard Butler had already been named producer of the year for his work on records by Duffy and Black Kids.

Meanwhile, Florence and the Machine received the Critics' Choice prize for new talent.

Miley Twitter hacked

Poorly spelt and offensive messages about Miley Cyrus's sex life littered her Twitter site. -- PHOTO: AP

THE star of popular Disney show Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, has had her Twitter account suspended on Wednesday after it was hacked into.

Poorly spelt and offensive messages about her sex life littered her Twitter site.

Twitter is a service which people can sign up for free to update others about their activities to the moment. Other people can subscribe to your Twitter feed to be informed about what you are doing.

This is the latest online hacking incident involving the daughter of American country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

Last year, someone broke into her e-mail account and posted candid pictures of her on the Internet.

Senior technology consultant at security firm Sophos Graham Cluley commented: 'It appears that Miley didn't learn the lesson last year and hasn't been taking enough care over her password security.

Cybercriminals were always hot on the heels of new internet trends, and with 'tweeting' so hot lately, it was no surprise hackers had realised its potential, he said.

Singer Britney Spears and United States president Barack Obama also had their Twitter accounts hacked into in January.

This was a result of Twitter's own technical system being compromised by cybercriminals.

Mr Cluley advised other users to choose strong passwords that are not easily cracked so they can 'avoid the same fate'.

Veggies make Kareena look sexy

You might not want to share a meal with them coz they’re vegetarians... but, guess what, vegetarians can be sexy as well.

And topping a poll conducted by a worldwide animal activist organisation is Bollywood’s Kareena Kapoor and Team India’s S Sreesanth.

Both hotties in their own fields... she for bowling men over, he for bowling maiden overs!

The two edged out the likes of 2007 winner and Southie star R Madhavan, model-actor Aditi Gowitrikar, musician Vishal Dadlani and singer Kailash Kher. Sree also edged out fellow cricketer Ishant Sharma and Anil Kumble.

For Kareena, meanwhile, this is just another award in a fistful collected already this year — including Youth Icon and Woman Achiever.

“I’m really thrilled and excited to top this poll. I live on vegetables, they help me look sexy, glamorous and healthy.”

Some of the other contenders this year were Olympic bronze medallist Sushil Kumar, actors Mallika Sherawat, Mahima Chaudhary, Rajneesh Duggal, designers Anita Dongre and Hemant Trevedi.
